"The first day I met Bryce Loski, I flipped." Flipped, by Wendelin Van Diraanen, is about two kids, Julianna Baker, Juli, and Bryce Loski, who tell both sides of what's happening in their lives. Juli is boy crazy over Bryce, the new kid who just moved in, and wants to be his best friend, maybe even more. On the other hand, Bryce doesn't want to be near her. In fact he has been avoiding her all through school. Later in the book their school has an auction with twenty boys who people can have lunch with. Juli bids, but not on Bryce but on a boy named John. The normal inference would be that Bryce was happy but instead realizes he likes Juli. Throughout the book Juli is determined and smart. I would like to see Victoria Justice play the role of Julianna Baker in the movie.
